EDITORIAL METHOD
Read the source. State the limit.
The Evidence Library explains shipment documentation and review. Its purpose is to make the underlying material easier to understand and inspect.
Who publishes these guides
The PackProof Editorial Team is the publishing identity for PackProof’s product education. PackProof is the publisher and has a commercial interest in its own product. The guides remain useful without an account.
Four source labels
- Captured
- What is visible or audible in the available recording. Identify the recording and the relevant moment.
- Submitted
- Material or statements supplied by a participant. Identify that contribution without adopting its assertions as established facts.
- Reported
- An event supplied by an external system, such as a carrier. Keep its source and event time distinct from when it entered the record.
- Unknown or outside the record
- A material event or detail for which the available evidence provides no direct view. A gap is not evidence of fault.
Sources and examples
External process statements link to current official documentation where available. Articles show a source-review date. Our recommended checklists and evidence matrices are editorial guidance; they are not universal requirements imposed by marketplaces or carriers. Illustrative scenarios are labeled and do not represent real customer cases.
Review and updates
Publication checks cover source accuracy, distinct reader intent, metadata, working links, accessibility, and evidence limits. Policy-dependent pages are due for review at least every 90 days. Evergreen capture guides are due every six months; technical explanations every six to twelve months or when the implementation changes. An updated date reflects a substantive review or revision, not a spelling correction.
What the guides do not determine
PackProof does not decide claim outcomes, establish authenticity, or guarantee that a receiving organization will accept a particular file. Digital integrity checks address defined properties of files and records. They do not establish unrecorded physical events.
Corrections
Found an inaccurate statement, changed policy, or broken source? Contact PackProof with the article URL, the passage, and an official reference where possible. Corrections are assessed against the underlying source.
Measurement
Library analytics count page views and selected link interactions in daily totals. They do not collect names, account tokens, visitor identifiers, URL parameters, or referrer strings. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control settings suppress these events. Counts are interactions, not verified claim outcomes or unique readers.
